High-risk industries – '10/5/5 program'
10/5/5 focuses on the:
Through 10/5/5 we are working with customers who face the highest risks in work health and safety and return to work, to improve outcomes for them, and reduce costs to their industry and the NSW community.
Based on total claims, gross incurred cost, incidence rates and qualitative analysis, the current 10 identified industries are:
- demolition
- sheep and beef cattle farming
- road freight transport
- landscaping services
- plant nurseries and grape growing
- house construction
- plastic product manufacturing
- concrete construction services
- road and bridge construction.
We will provide updates as each of these industry projects progresses.
Across all industries, the five high risk causes of injury in NSW are:
- manual handling
- falls on the same level
- falls from one level to another
- being struck by moving or falling objects
- striking moving or stationary objects.
