Employee associations and workers complete trainers course - new Work Health and Safety Act 

This course is intended to assist employee associations and workers understand how the work health and safety (WHS) legislation will influence health and safety outcomes in their workplace. The course covers changes in terminology, duties and the roles of health and safety representatives (HSRs), health and safety committees and other authorised representatives. Changes in enforcement, where a breach of WHS occurs, are explained. The training package includes the PowerPoint presentation, a participant's handoutfacilitator's guide and fact sheets to assist in presenting this course. The course may be delivered as separate modules to suit the needs of the workplace and its workers.
